Working at RVC
What began in 1791 as a horse infirmary with a handful of students grew and grew. Queen Victoria granted us the Charter of Incorporation in 1875 and today the RVC remains a highly respected, science-based institution producing veterinarians and scientists with international reputations. Our work focuses on vibrant education, dedicated academic research, inspired clinical care and an enriched enterprise environment. At the heart of all these diverging sectors are our staff, who remain the lifeblood of our operation.
From Senior Lecturers to Veterinary Nurses, from Receptionists to Maintenance Technicians, we’re committed to nurturing and developing the careers of everyone we employ, and to maintaining a pleasant working environment.
The College is situated on two campuses, the Camden Campus in North London and the Hawkshead Campus in the Hertfordshire countryside near Potters Bar. We’re a progressive and transparent employer and we’ve recently instituted number of initiatives to enhance the working lives of all of our employees. For example, our appraisal scheme is designed to ensure that College objectives are communicated to staff at all levels, that staff are given continual feedback as to their performance and there is also a forum to discuss their ideas for the coming year and their personal and career development requirements.
Our first-class staff are experienced in a wide range of disciplines and skills and we’re looking to expand this highly-talented workforce still further.
We are dedicated to attracting and retaining the best possible staff. We expect a lot from the people we employ and we offer a lot in return – in terms of quality of life, personal development and job satisfaction.
Our staff enjoy a wide range of benefits and facilities – click on the link provided to find out more about working here and all we have to offer – to find out more general information about the College, please visit About Us.
