We are seeking a pro-active and experienced administrator to support our research degree students and postgraduate clinical students from their point of enrolment through to graduation. This involves arranging induction and training as well as annual appraisals, examinations administration and other tasks key to the success of our students. The person appointed will also be secretary to the Research Degrees Committee of the College.

Our ideal appointee will have excellent personal and written communication skills, a great empathy for and understanding of the academic community and be highly organised and accurate. You will have excellent IT skills, being proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and you will be required to build good working relationships with colleagues at all levels. 

The postholder will be part of the Academic Registry Team. Founded in 1791, the RVC is one of the largest and longest established veterinary schools in the world. Ranked as the top veterinary school in the QS World University Rankings 2022. The RVC offers outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in veterinary medicine, veterinary nursing, and biomedical sciences and carries out world class veterinary and bioscience research ranging from the molecular level through whole animal to population-based studies. 

The post will be a full-time role of 1 FTE/ 35 hours per week, two year fixed term contract.   

The post will work across both campus but can designate a main campus either Camden or Hawkshead. with the potential for some home working following completion of a successful probation period.
