We are looking for a Lecturer in Small Animal Internal Medicine and Oncology in the Department of Clinical Science and Services. This person would work mainly from our Hawkshead Campus, a 15-minute train ride from the centre of cosmopolitan London. 

The candidate would join our existing Internal Medicine  and Oncology teams with commitment to both services. The Internal Medicine team consists of 8 internists who have developed into key opinion leaders in various subspecialties including endocrinology, nephrology, urology, immunology, haematology and gastroenterology. The oncology team consists of three oncologists who have specific interests in lymphoproliferative diseases, novel treatment approaches and biomarkers. 

The teams pride themselves on providing a friendly, balanced and supportive environment, with plenty of opportunities to develop additional subspecialty interests. The appropriate candidate will be expected to enhance the department’s reputation through scholarship in clinical activities and teaching. You will achieve this by delivering professional services within the College’s hospitals, delivering clinical training on veterinary and paraveterinary undergraduate curricula and participating in postgraduate training programs. This post has a 50:50 split between the internal medicine and oncology service with provision of 70:30 division of duties between clinical service and academic activities (undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and collaborative research).

We are looking for true team players with exceptional communication skills and who are enthusiastic about working with students, including supporting undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. We are looking for candidates with a RCVS registrable degree in veterinary science, who hold an American or European postgraduate diploma in Internal Medicine and/or Oncology or are eligible for RCVS Recognised Specialist Status in either of these disciplines.
