Senior Weekend Night Emergency and Critical Care Registered Veterinary Nurse

Salary:  £41,407 to £48,123 Inclusive of London Weighting and Night Nursing Allowance

We currently have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced RVN to assist the Head Emergency and Critical Care RVNs in leading a team of specialised nurses in the Emergency and Critical Care department of the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals – one of the largest and best equipped emergency veterinary facilities in the UK. In addition to state-of-the-art facilities, we are the only recognised Level 1 Trauma Center in Europe with extensive in-house laboratory capabilities and the support of our on-site transfusion service allowing us to provide the highest level of care to critically ill patients.

 Our multi-disciplinary hospital accepts a range of referral and first opinion cases and you will work as part of our team of ECC specialist Clinicians, residents, interns, RVNs and Patient Care Assistants to provide excellent care to our patients. You will assist the Head nurses within the department to manage the running of the night shifts and provide leadership and support to the weekend night team.  

This role offers an excellent opportunity to advance your clinical, leadership and teaching skills in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will have strong experience of working in a busy hospital or referral setting and experience leading or coordinating teams. Ideally, you will be a clinical coach or have experience supervising students.
