We invite applications for a Clinical Fellowship in Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging in the Department of Clinical Science and Services. The Diagnostic Imaging service is integrated into the large team of specialists within RVC Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, located in our Hawkshead Campus, a short train ride from the centre of cosmopolitan London and near several international airports. 

The focus of the position is supporting the clinical service provision by the Imaging Service, including shared out of hours image aquisition. The position will appeal to graduates with a strong interest in imaging wishing to improve their skills and experience prior to entering or applying for a residency programme, or before returning to small animal practice. The position is fixed term and designed to increase our staff resources ahead of the appointment of our next round of residents in July 2025.  

The Imaging Service has a busy secondary and tertiary referral caseload, which includes cases for the Queen Mother Hospital for Small Animals in Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Emergency and Critical Care Service, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Exotic Medicine and Cardiology. The service is well-equipped, with with a 3T MRI (Siemens Magnetom), 1.5T MRI (Philips Intera), 320 slice CT scanner (Canon, Aquilion One Genesis) with power injector, high end ultrasound unit (Samsung), digital radiography (SoundEklin, true DR C-series) and fluoroscopy (Siemens, Axiom Iconos). We collaborate extensively with other services within the hospital to optimise patient care.  

We are looking for candidates with a RCVS registrable degree in veterinary science. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
