The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) has been named the top veterinary school in the QS World University Rankings 2022. Founded in 1791 it is also the UK’s longest-standing veterinary school. Comparative Biomedical Sciences (CBS) is one of three academic departments at the RVC with staff at both the Camden and Hawkshead campuses. It is responsible for integrated teaching and research in basic science disciplines.
We are looking for a proactive administrator to support CBS staff and students at the Hawkshead campus. The post will be based in our world renowned Structure and Motion lab.
This is a varied role, acting as the department’s first point of contact at Hawkshead, supporting both research and teaching activities. Responsibilities include coordinating the new starter process, assisting with office and space allocation, undertaking financial processing, updating web pages, and organising travel and events.
You will have excellent organisational, computer and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with people at all levels in a professional and enthusiastic manner. You will work independently on individual projects, as well as playing a key role as part of the CBS support team. An interest in science is an asset.
We offer a friendly work environment, training and development opportunities and a generous reward package. Flexible working is a possibility.
