We are currently looking for a highly motivated, organised person to work as part of a busy team in the Diagnostic Laboratories, responsible for all aspects of specimen reception. This will include receiving biological samples from both internal and external clients, recording all details onto our laboratory database, labelling, and distribution of these within the laboratories. Additionally, you will be providing regular sample collections throughout the day from our on-site hospitals and liaising with our internal and external clients. You will also be responsible for sorting and distributing incoming deliveries for the Diagnostic Laboratories, managing, and maintaining our consumable stores and performing other general tasks within the unit.

You should possess strong communication skills, the ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and work in an efficient and organised manner. Computer literacy and a science related degree, HND/HNC or similar are essential.

Previous experience of working within specimen reception and/or a laboratory environment is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
