Are you searching for a career path that gives you a chance to work with a variety of species, opportunities for advancement and training in specialised areas?  Do you bring a sense of pride, attention to detail and care into the work you do?  We are looking for a Theatre Manager for our large animal theatre suite within Biological Services Unit. 

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, well organised individual to manage the research theatres within the BSU.  This role will include scheduling the two onsite theatres as well as the additional procedure rooms, NACWO responsibilities, Controlled Drug Accountable Officer (CDAO). 

The ideal candidate must have experience in carrying out aseptic techniques in large or small animals and be prepared to take on the responsibility of the management of theatres and procedure rooms within the BSU

Must be well versed in knowledge and application of Animal (Scientific Procedures) Act (ASPA) 1986 and EU Directive 2010/63 and experience in anaesthesia for small or large animals would be a distinct advantage.

You must have Home Office personal licensee training PIL A, B, and C and a current or previously held Personal Home Office License.  A good level of house-keeping, record keeping and organisational skills, be self-motivated with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
