We are currently looking for a Senior Diagnostic Haematology Technician with extensive experience to join our busy veterinary diagnostic laboratory. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team of both technicians and pathologists to provide a complete diagnostic service to both onsite hospitals and external clients. The service receives a wide variety of samples from both large (farm and equine), small (dogs, cats etc.) and exotic animals.

Applicants should have a related science degree or equivalent, with previous experience of working in a busy diagnostic haematology/cytology laboratory. You must be a well-rounded scientist that is flexible in your approach, consistently works to a high standard (both individually and within a team), and has a willingness to learn new techniques as required. Familiarity with other veterinary diagnostic disciplines is desirable.

You must be competent in a wide range of manual and automated haematology/cytology techniques including:

All candidates should possess strong communication and team-working skills, the ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and work in an efficient and organised manner.
